Terms of use
Last updated: April 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of binthere (the “app”) and binthere.tech (the “site”). By installing, signing in, or otherwise using the app or site, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Section titled “Who we are”binthere is built and operated by Patrick Bennett (“we”, “us”). Contact: patrickisgreat@gmail.com.
Your account
Section titled “Your account”- You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
- You’re responsible for activity under your account — don’t share your login.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use binthere.
Acceptable use
Section titled “Acceptable use”Don’t:
- Use binthere to store content that’s illegal, infringing, or abusive
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the service
- Upload malware or attempt to exploit the service
- Use automated means to scrape, flood, or overwhelm the backend
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
Section titled “Your content”You keep ownership of everything you put into binthere — photos, item data, notes, everything. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service (sync, sharing with your household members, AI processing when you invoke it).
We don’t sell your content. We don’t use it for training AI models.
AI features
Section titled “AI features”When you use AI features, your content (photos, text) is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing. Their usage policies apply. Anthropic does not train on API data.
Availability
Section titled “Availability”We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Cloud sync may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance. Your local data always remains accessible on your device.
Disclaimers
Section titled “Disclaimers”binthere is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Item value estimates are for convenience only — not professional appraisals. Always verify before filing insurance claims, tax records, or estate documents.
Limitation of liability
Section titled “Limitation of liability”To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or $50.
Changes
Section titled “Changes”We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
Section titled “Governing law”These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should be raised first via email — we’d rather resolve things directly.
